For a few hours Wednesday, the Jaguars had two healthy receivers who have played in the NFL. That's how many receivers Jacksonville has lost. ESPN.com updated the team's woes at wideout:
Mike Brown went down with hamstring tightness Wednesday after a strong camp. It's unclear how long he'll be out.
Starter Cecil Shorts left the first practice July 25 with hamstring tightness too and has not practiced since. Rookie Allen Robinson strained his hamstring July 31 and will be out at least one more week. Tandon Doss is out indefinitely with a badly sprained ankle.
Rookie Damian Copeland went on IR on Monday with a wrist injury. Rookie Nathan Slaughter sprained his foot and is out several weeks. Ace Sanders, who caught 51 passes last year, took a leave of absence for "personal issues" and will face a four-game substance abuse suspension upon his return.
"Man, I've never seen anything like it," said receiver Kerry Taylor, who started four games last year. "I don't even know what to call it."
