After a season-opening, 26-23 overtime loss at Minnesota, the Jaguars confirmed four roster moves on Tuesday.
WR Brian Robiskie, who was inactive on Sunday, was waived, as was TE Colin Cloherty. Cloherty did not record any statistics against the Vikings.
Releasing Robiskie is the more notable of the two moves. He has 39 career receptions for 441 yards and three touchdowns. He slipped down the depth chart with the emergence of WR Cecil Shorts.
In their place, the Jags signed sixth-year veteran TE Stephen Spach and third-year OL Herb Taylor.
Taylor has appeared in 18 games for the Kansas City Chiefs. He also spent time on the active roster of the Denver Broncos, the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers. He will add depth to an OL that has been thinned out by injuries. G Eben Briton (ankle), T Cameron Bradfield (foot) and G Uche Nwaneri (ankle) all are hobbled.
Spach is an experienced upgrade over Cloherty. He has appeared in 59 career NFL games, most recently playing in 10 games with the Rams in 2011.
