For most of his career, Jaguars tackle Guy Whimper has been rated as one of the worst offensive linemen in the league. Pro Football Focus ranks him 57th among tackles this season, and he was rated No. 54 in 2011 (before last year, he didn’t play enough to merit inclusion in the rankings).
But now we’ve discovered why Whimper has struggled as a tackle. It’s because he’s really a top-notch wide receiver.
Seriously, though, that was a wonderful catch by a guy who doesn’t catch passes for a living.
And to put his catch in better perspective:
Jaguars offensive lineman Guy Whimper now has more TD catches than: Justin Blackmon,Steve Smith, Jason Avant, Fred Davis, and Davone Bess.
