Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton had eye surgery on early Sunday morning after sustaining an injury during an "incident" at a nightclub in Jacksonville.
That's according to Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union, who also notes that the Jaguars confirmed the news in a statement released on Sunday.
"We are in the process of gathering information about what happened and are not able to further comment at this time," the statement read. "Our concern and our focus is on Terrance and his health and recovery."
Everything about the injury is a little hazy: it occurred at Pure nightclub, near Baymeadows and Phillips Highway, and is being called an "incident" (odd, no?) and the seriousness of the injury has yet to be revealed.
Several times on his Twitter page during the evening Knighton answered "where you at?" questions with "pure."
Knighton, drafted in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft, is in his fourth year in the NFL out of Temple and is headed into the final year of his rookie contract.
