The Jets signed defensive end Stephen Bowen to a contract, the team announced on Tuesday.
Bowen has spent his entire career in the NFC East with the Cowboys and Redskins. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2006 and signed with Dallas. After five years with the Cowboys, he signed with the Redskins and spent four seasons before being released this offseason.
In his nine-year career, Bowen has totaled 168 tackles and 12 1/2 sacks.
