Jets vs. Raiders Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Jets vs. Raiders football game
Game Recap
The Las Vegas Raiders fell to the New York Jets 34-3 when the two teams previously met in November of last year; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Sunday, Las Vegas narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past New York 31-28. The success represented a nice turnaround for the Raiders, who in their last game suffered a tough 43-6 defeat.
Las Vegas started the matchup off right with 17 first-half points. New York countered with 13 points. Las Vegas almost let the game get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it.
Among those leading the charge for Las Vegas was TE Darren Waller, who caught 13 passes for two TDs and 200 yards. On the other hand, RB Devontae Booker had a very so-so game, which wouldn't be worth mentioning except that he carried the ball significantly more than any other Las Vegas running back.
RB Ty Johnson had only a few touches last week, but he got the ball a lot more this time and made it count. Johnson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for one TD and 104 yards on 22 carries. This was the first time Johnson has racked up 100+ rushing yards all year.
The Raiders' win brought them up to 7-5. The Jets, 0-12, have officially been eliminated from playoff contention.
Las Vegas will be playing at home against the Indianapolis Colts at 4:05 p.m. ET next week. Like Las Vegas, Indianapolis is also coming into the contest bolstered by a recent win. As for New York, they will face off against the Seattle Seahawks at 4:05 p.m. ET next week at Lumen Field.
