It was reported at one point that Jimmy Clausen had nearly a $1 million roster bonus coming his way. Turns out, that's not true, so Clausen seems safe from being cut by the Panthers for now.
But he apparently suffered a much more embarrassing type of cut on Tuesday afternoon -- the kind that comes with a trip to Supercuts and you run into a bad "stylist" who doesn't really understand the concept of why someone would want their hair to look normal. Jimmy tweeted about it and it evolved into some sort of bizarre endorsement semi-pitch online.
So Jimmy got a bad haircut at Supercuts. This happens to just about half of their customers who roll the dice there I'm sure. And an eager social-media savvy competitor took advantage of that problem.Never going to @supercuts again! #awful

@JimmyClausen Sorry to hear about your experience. We'd love it if you gave us a shot next time!

But the best tweet of them all was from Ryan Anderson, who works in the Panthers public relations department.@JimmyClausen We have 60 salons in the Charlotte area. 20 in Charlotte itself. Would be more than happy to recommend a location.

So what will Jimmy's mugshot with the Panthers look like in the coming year? Well, if he got things fixed, it'll probably be fine. But because I have too much free time like to fancy myself a semi-decent Photoshopper, well, I figured I'd take a gander at what his 'do is looking like these days. Oh, and also because, Jimmy, I feel your pain pal. We're in the South and if you leave walk-in hair-manglers to their own designs, you'll end up in a bad way.@JimmyClausen media guide headshots are tomorrow and Thursday! Haha
