The Jets have waived LB Eddie Jones and S DeAngelo Smith. In 2011 Jones spent time on both the Jets and Rams practice squads and played one game for the Jets as a member of the active roster. Smith signed with the Jets as a free agent in April. He was drafted by the Cowboys in 2009 and also spent time with Browns, Bears and Lions.
