A lawsuit filed in Oakland (Mich.) County Circuit Court alleges that reserve Cardinals defensive end Ronald Talley injured a man by smashing a champagne bottle over his head at a suburban Detroit bar on March 26.
Talley, a Detroit native, was signed to the Cardinals practice squad in November 2010 and signed a futures contract in January 2011. He was originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Packers in 2009.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt said after his daily lunch-time press conference on Friday that he is aware of the report but “in talking to Ronald, he wasn’t aware of anything until the press release came out that this was happening.”
Whisenhunt said Talley will continue to practice with the team until further notice.
