Fourth-round pick LB Ronnell Lewis has the skills to be an impact special teams player, but the non-contact nature of rookie minicamp makes it hard to gauge his tackling ability. Lewis’ college performances evoke memories of the hard-charging style of former Lions’ special teams’ ace Zack Follett, whose career was ended by a neck injury. Lewis said he has inflicted and received concussions as a result of special-teams tackles. He said he won’t change his playing style to conform to NFL policies designed to limit head trauma. "I'm not going to let up just because of some rule,” he said. “I'm going to continue to hit harder."
