Former assistant Paul Guenther, who was promoted to linebackers coach replacing Jeff FitzGerald this offseason, leveraged his previous relationship with the players to create a smooth transition. The biggest difference between the two coaches is their respective teaching methods. "Paul's mindset is I'm not going to throw everything down your throats," LB Rey Maualuga said.
