It's been a banner day for fat guy touchdowns in the NFL. Just hours after backup offensive tackle Garry Gilliam caught a touchdown pass for the Seahawks, Nate Solder got in on the action by catching a touchdown pass for New England.
During the third quarter of the AFC Championship game, the Patriots left tackle caught a 19-yard scoring pass from Tom Brady.
The best part about the touchdown catch is that Solder did all the work. The Patriots offensive lineman caught the ball at the 13-yard line and then rumbled 39-feet for the score.
The first touchdown of Solder's career gave the Patriots a 24-7 lead.
