With 12-year veteran LT Chad Clifton to be released, as ESPN first reported Monday, the Packers would seemingly be giving the blindside-defending reigns fully to third-year pro Marshall Newhouse. Newhouse, who started 13 games for Green Bay last year, was inconsistent but showed plenty of promise. Rehabbing second-year T Derek Sherrod (broken leg) also is in the mix.
