NFL Draft: Draft Tracker | Prospect Rankings | Updates | Trades
After three days and 254 picks, the 2013 NFL Draft is in the books. And, as is customary every year since 1976, we're celebrating the final player taken, affectionately known as Mr. Irrelevant. So, former South Carolina tight end Justice Cunningham, now a member of the Colts, here's to you facing extremely long odds of making an NFL roster.
But there's some good news: You get your own week!
In early July, "Irrelevant Week" takes place in Newport Beach, Calif. In addition to -- you guessed it -- celebrating Mr. Irrelevant, it is, according to Irrelevantweek.org, an opportunity to recognize and support national and local charities that provide assistance to underserved, underprivileged or at-risk youth and adults in the community.
In that sense, everybody wins.
In case you're wondering, there have been some on-field success stories; 2000 Mr. Irrelevant Jim Finn was the Giants' starting fullback in 2005-06. And 2009 winner Ryan Succop is the Chiefs' kicker.
