NFL Free Agency 2020: Live updates, latest rumors and signings across the league

Welcome to Day 3 of the new league year! It didn't take long Friday before we saw fireworks, as the Atlanta Falcons have added Todd Gurley a day after he was released by the Rams. Gurley returns to Georgia, where he rushed for 3,285 yards and 36 touchdowns in three college seasons.

The Falcons added Gurley to an offense that has Matt Ryan at quarterback, Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley at wide receiver, and Hayden Hurst at tight end. Four of those players mentioned are first-round picks, making Atlanta's offense one of the most talented in the NFL.

In case Gurley wasn't enough to get your Friday going, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially announced the signing of Tom Brady as their next quarterback.

It's truly a wild time in the league and there's still a few more big names left to be signed. Where will Jameis Winston land? What about Jadeveon Clowney?

There's still plenty of fireworks remaining in free agency, but don't worry. CBS Sports will help you run through all the hysteria and keep you informed on all the latest action in the NFL:

The Dolphins have been very aggressive at the start of free agency, but they are spending money in risky ways -- three-year, $30 million for Ereck Flowers -- who came one more season away from being out of the NFL and a three-year, $30 million contract for Shaq Lawson -- who had a career-year with 6.5 sacks. Hard to understand what's going on here down in Miami.

Per Schefter, the Texans will actually be taking on David Johnson's entire contract in the Hopkins deal. Johnson has one of the largest RB contracts in the NFL. One of the most head-scratching trades we've seen in some time.

The Cowboys have reportedly re-signed tight end Blake Jarwin to a three-year, $24 million contract. Smart move. The team really likes him and Jarwin has been a big-time playmaker on limited targets. The hope is that his per-target production can carry over with what is likely to be double the snaps he saw in 2019 (and before that) as the team most likely moves on from Jason Witten.

One calendar year after the Giants were laughed off for trading Odell Beckham and Olivier Vernon for Kevin Zeitler, a 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick, and 2017 first-rounder Jabrill Peppers, the Texans can only muster a 2nd round pick and David Johnson for Deandre Hopkins and a 4th-rounder. The trade market for high-paid WRs continues to fall in value.
