Each Sunday we'll recap the week that was in the NFL with the top tweets from across Twitter.
Robert Griffin III lived up to expectations starting with his first snap. He had himself a day in his NFL debut.
RGIII's 139.9 QB rating is higher than Andrew Luck's, Brandon Weeden's, and Ryan Tannehill's combined (97)

RG3 definitely earned himself some admirers including film legend Spike Lee.

Even Peyton Manning's former coach took notice.
Congratulations to RG3 and the Redskins on a big road win in New Orleans.

RG3 also made sure to make his sponsor, Adidas, happy.

RG3's fellow highly touted rookie Andrew Luck didn't fair as well on Sunday and Twitter let him have it. Former Washington Capital Alex Semin jumped on the RG3 > Luck bandwagon.
The #Colts picked Andrew 1st overall? Better Luck next time. #RG3 is #1
— Alexander Semin (@alexsemin) September 9, 2012
But don't give up hope for Andrew Luck just yet. His first start was pretty similar to Peyton Manning's debut, and we all know how that turned out for Indy.
Andrew Luck 1st start stats: 23-45, 1 TD, 3 INT, 309 yards. Peyton Manning 1st start stats: 21-37, 1 TD, 3 INT, 302 yards.

Luck wasn't the only rookie QB to struggle on Sunday. Poor Brandon Weeden couldn't do anything against the Eagles defense.
Brandon Weeden finished with a QB Rating of 5.1... worst by NFL QB with at least 20 attempts since Jeff Garcia in 2004, also w/ #Browns

Of course some quarterbacks did play well. After a hideous interception, Mark Sanchez had one of his best games of his career. Maybe Tebow should look to play elsewhere?

The other big story of the day was how would the replacement referees fair? Some games they were OK.
Oh, forgot to say, credit where credit is due. The replacement refs did a good job at our game; couple missed calls but nothing egregious.

Other games...not so much.
Mario Williams thinks replacement officials did a horrible job.Odd, I don't think the replacement refs gave up 48 to the

Oh, jeez, the replacement refs just gave Seattle a timeout when they didn't have one. That's very bad.

The replacement referees prompted this hilarious exchange of bickering between NFL PR guru Greg Aiello and Fox Rules Analyst Mike Pereira.
Kind of like when you were out there. RT @mikepereira: Here's what I think of officiating in GB/SF: Not too strong at this point.

.@gregaiello That's the first honest thing you've said in awhile!

Quicks hits: Randy Moss is back and scoring TDs.

David Akers booted an NFL record-tying 63-yard field goal. He looks surprised at his success.

Finally, Terrell Suggs lets his former teammate Willis McGahee have it.
I see Willis is still scared of the steelers.
