WR Hakeem Nicks is “walking around pretty good” after having surgery last week to repair a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot. “It was a simple hook route,” he said in describing how he suffered the injury on a conference call, adding that he felt a “little snap.” The prognosis is for about 12 weeks of rehab. When asked if he’ll play in the opener, Nicks said he had “no doubt.”
