Earlier in the Sunday night game, Giants safety Kenny Phillips had to leave the game with a knee injury. Now it appears one of the Eagles best defensive backs is out of the game for now as well.
Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha reportedly poked in the eye by Giants receiver Ramses Barden in the first half, and NBC is reporting that he's been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. It was later reported that Asomugha didn't actually go to the hospital.
Brandon Hughes has replaced Asomugha.
UPDATE: Late in the third quarter, Asomugha returned to the game.
