Packers vs. Jaguars updates: Live NFL game scores, results for Sunday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Packers vs. Jaguars football game
Game Recap
Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars were out to avenge their 27-23 loss to the Green Bay Packers from their previous meeting in September of 2016, but they had no such luck. The Jaguars didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 24-20 to Green Bay. Jacksonville's defeat continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it eight in a row.
Green Bay's success was spearheaded by the efforts of WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who caught four passes for one TD and 149 yards, and QB Aaron Rodgers, who passed for two TDs and 325 yards on 34 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. That receiving effort made it the first game that Valdes-Scantling has posted more than 100 yards receiving.
No one had a standout game offensively for Jacksonville, but they got one touchdown from WR Keelan Cole.
Jacksonville's defeat pushed them down to 1-8. The victory makes it two in a row for the Packers and bumps their record up to 7-2.
The Jaguars will be playing at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. ET next week. As for Green Bay, they will face off against the Indianapolis Colts at 4:25 p.m. ET next week at Lucas Oil Stadium. Green Bay will need a sterling offensive performance if they want to penetrate an unbending defense that has allowed an average of only 19.67 points per game.
