There is some speculation that TE Jake Ballard (ACL) could return to the Giants, but that won’t be easy. Ballard is signed through the 2012 season, after which he could become an exclusive rights free agent. The Patriots, who claimed him off waivers from the Giants, can tender Ballard after he sits out this year and they would have right of first refusal in free agency next offseason.
