The Raiders made 12 roster moves Monday morning to get to 75 players before the deadline. None of the moves was surprising. Fullback Manase Tonga and defensive end Mason Brodine were the only players waived who spent time on the Raiders' active roster last season.
The club also waived OT Ed Wang (3rd year, fifth round, Virginia Tech, shoulder injury) and FB Rashawn Jackson (3rd year, undrafted, Virginia, hip injury).
Notable cuts: FB Tonga (2nd year, undrafted, BYU) -- Tonga made three starts last season, filling in for injured starter Marcel Reece, and appeared in 11 games. He spent the 2010 season on the practice squad and began last season on the practice squad before being promoted on Oct. 2; DE Brodine (2nd year, undrafted, Nebraska-Kearney) -- Brodine spent most of last year on the Raiders' practice squad before being promoted on Dec. 17 and appearing in two games.
