No. 3 quarterback Terrelle Pryor will suit up for the first time this season on Sunday when the Raiders play the Cleveland Browns, coach Dennis Allen said Friday.
The question now is whether Pryor will actually get into the game.
"He's one of those guys where we want to at least get him up, get him suited up," Allen said. "He needs to start getting some (idea of) what it feels like to suit up on game day, and we'll see if we play him in the game."
Pryor said the Raiders haven't run any plays for him during practice. All the first-team reps this week have gone to starter Carson Palmer and backup Matt Leinart.
"Yeah, I'm suiting up, but I don't know if I'm going to have any plays or not," Pryor said. "I don't know what we're going to do.
"I'm not really exactly excited to just suit up. That's not something that's my goal. I've suited up for plenty of games before. But it's a step to be with this organization and just go out and warm up with those guys and be around Carson."
Thumbs up for Palmer: After being limited in practice Thursday with a sore right thumb, Palmer was full-go on Friday, taking all of the first-team reps. Palmer hit his thumb on a helmet while throwing a pass last week at Cincinnati.
"Not an issue," Allen said of Palmer's thumb. "He came in today, felt fine, looked fine, took all the reps. He's good to go."
Palmer was listed as probable on the injury report.
Waiting game: Running backs Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson, who both returned to practice this week after missing three straight games with high-ankle sprains, were listed as questionable for Sunday's game. They were limited in practice all week.
"Both of them will be game-time decisions," Allen said. "Are they 100 percent? No. We'll know more Sunday."
Regular fullback Marcel Reece has started the past three games at running back, but Allen said he didn't know whether Reece would start at running back again Sunday.
"We'll see where Darren is," Allen said. "Marcel will definitely get his touches at the tailback position."
Hit to the wallets: Raiders defensive linemen Lamarr Houston, Tommy Kelly, Desmond Bryant and Matt Shaughnessy were each fined $26,250 by the NFL in the wake of a fight in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game at Cincinnati. Cincinnati OT Andrew Whitworth was the only Bengal fined, taking a $26,250 hit.
The fight erupted when Whitworth confronted Houston after Houston slammed Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton to the turf -- the whistle had blown on the play because of a false start.
Bryant, Shaughnessy and Houston plan to appeal their fines, but Kelly doesn't.
"It's an awful lot of money, and I'm innocent," Bryant said. "I will appeal it."
Shaughnessy said: "The dude [Whitworth] came out of nowhere attacking people. I was just trying to pull him off of Lamarr. And then everything else happened."
Kelly, who came off the bench after the fight erupted, was thrown out of the game, along with Houston and Whitworth. Kelly said there "ain't no use fighting" the fine. "I don't really have a case. Just got to realize that. When I got fined in the past, it's been about 20 to 25 (thousand). What's another thousand? Long as they don't suspend me, I ain't complaining. I just don't want to be on their radar."
Extra points: Starting DT Richard Seymour (hamstring/knee) was ruled out for Cleveland and will miss his fourth straight game. Rookie DE Jack Crawford (toe) was also ruled out. ... RB Taiwan Jones (ankle) is probable. ... LB Rolando McClain, who was suspended two games for conduct detrimental to the team, was placed on the reserve/suspended list and does not count against the 53-man roster. The Raiders won't fill that spot before Sunday's game.
