Raiders RB Mike Goodson, who suffered a neck injury during practice Tuesday, was released from Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, Calif., and returned to the team hotel, the Raiders announced.
Goodson was injured during a collision with OLB Philip Wheeler. He was examined by trainers, then taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he stayed for about four hours.
A CT scan and MRI test on Goodson’s neck were negative, according to the Raiders.
Goodson is in his first season with the Raiders. He came to Oakland from Carolina in a trade for guard Bruce Campbell. He is in a battle with Taiwan Jones for the backup RB job to starter Darren McFadden.
