Live scores, highlights and updates from the Raiders vs. Chiefs football game
3rd Quarter Report
The Chiefs already have more points against the Raiders than they managed in total against the Eagles last Monday. The Chiefs have jumped out to a 21-17 lead against the Raiders.
If the Chiefs keep playing like this, they'll bump their record up to 8-3 in no time. On the other hand, the Raiders will have to make due with a 5-7 record unless they turn things around (and fast).
Preview
The Raiders are staring down a pretty large nine-point disadvantage in the spread for Sunday's matchup. They will be playing at home against the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. The Raiders will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
It looks like Las Vegas got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They took a 20-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dolphins on Sunday.
Meanwhile, it looks like Kansas City got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They took a 21-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Kansas City didn't live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game.
Despite the loss, the Chiefs got a solid performance out of Patrick Mahomes, who threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns.
The team's defense also tried their best in the loss by holding the Eagles to a paltry 238 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to the Chiefs' ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out five times before it was all said and done. The heavy lifting was done by Chris Jones and Trent McDuffie who racked up four sacks between them.
Las Vegas now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Kansas City, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.
In addition to losing their last games, both teams failed to cover the spread. As for their next game, the Chiefs shouldn't be too worried about this matchup, as the experts have them favored by nine points. For those looking to play the spread, take note: the Raiders are a solid 4-1 against the spread when playing at home.
Las Vegas lost to Kansas City at home by a decisive 31-13 margin in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Chiefs' Mahomes, who threw for 202 yards and a touchdown. Now that the Raiders knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
