The Raiders will be missing at least 10 players for Friday night's road exhibition game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Nine players have been ruled out because of injuries, and starting free safety Michael Huff was excused from the game by coach Dennis Allen to be at the birth of his first child.
The injured players who will miss the game are: WR Denarius Moore (hamstring), C Stefen Wisniewski (calf), P Shane Lechler (knee), RB Taiwan Jones (hamstring), TE Brandon Myers (shoulder), LB Aaron Curry (knees), FB Rashawn Jackson (hip), OL Ed Wang (shoulder) and OT Zach Hurd (head).
Rookie DE Jack Crawford (foot), who missed Monday night’s exhibition opener against Dallas, and DT Jamie Cumbie (foot) practiced Thursday in Napa but will be game-time decisions.
Moore, Lechler, Jones, Myers and Curry will miss their second straight game.
Running back Mike Goodson, who missed Monday night’s game with a neck injury, will make his Raiders debut and, based on his practice work load, should get plenty of carries. He also returned some kickoffs during practice and expects to get a few returns tonight.
Rookie Miles Burris, a fourth-round pick from San Diego State, will start again for Curry, who’s on the PUP list and has spent the week being treated by a specialist in Los Angeles. Richard Gordon is expected to start again for Myers, while backup center Alex Parson will make his first start of the season, replacing Wisniewski. Rookie Marquette King will handle the punting duties again.
Veteran free safety Matt Giordano will likely start for Huff, although the Raiders could pair backup strong safety with starting strong safety Tyvon Branch, with one of the two moving to free safety.
Allen said he’ll use the same quarterback rotation as he did Monday night -- Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart and Terrelle Pryor. Palmer, as well as the rest of the starters on offense and defense, will get more playing time than against Dallas, Allen said.
