When the Rams drafted cornerback Janoris Jenkins in the second round, they tried to put safeguards into his contract in case his old character issues continued.
Ultimately, St. Louis was rebuffed in its attempt.
Which is unfortunate for the Rams on Sunday, considering the team announced that Jenkins and rookie wide receiver Chris Givens are inactive for the game against the 49ers for violating team rules.
Luckily for the Rams, receiver Danny Amendola is active for the first time since Week 5. Bradley Fletcher will start in place of Jenkins.
