Ravens at Bengals final: Baltimore runs for 400 yards in dominant victory to clinch AFC wild card berth
The Ravens were dominant on the ground as the offense hits its stride at the perfect time

The Baltimore Ravens have clinched a playoff berth for the third consecutive season, dominating the Cincinnati Bengals in a fantastic display on the ground. Baltimore became just the fifth team in NFL history to rush for 400 yards in a game, finishing with 404 rushing yards in the dominant victory -- the most rushing yards in a game since the 2000 Cincinnati Bengals (407).
The Ravens will lock up the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoffs with the victory and the Miami Dolphins' impending loss to the Buffalo Bills. Baltimore would face the winner of the AFC South (Tennessee or Indianapolis) in the AFC wild-card round next weekend.
Lamar Jackson became the first quarterback in NFL history with two 1,000-yard rushing seasons as the Ravens quarterback finished with 11 carries for 97 yards. Jackson ended his season with 1,005 rushing yards, the third-most for a quarterback in a season (he holds the record with 1,206 -- set in 2019).
Just 23 years old, Jackson is the first quarterback to have consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons -- accomplishing the feat in his first two full seasons as a starting quarterback. Jackson finished with three passing touchdowns on the day, and 26 for the season. He has 11 touchdown passes to three interceptions over his final five games -- all Ravens wins. Jackson has 46 TD passes in the red zone for his career without throwing an interception, the most in NFL history.
The Ravens ended the season with the highest point differential in the NFL (+165), the second consecutive year they led the league in that category.
Cincinnati didn't get a first down until 2:45 left in the first half and finished with just 126 yards of total offense -- 55 of which came on its lone scoring drive that resulted in an Austin Seibert 38-yard field goal in the final minute of the first half. The Bengals chose to kick on fourth-and-1 on the Ravens 20-yard line down 17-0, an interesting decision by head coach Zac Taylor. They only mustered three points against the Ravens defense, which forced six three-and-outs and two turnovers on the day.
