Finally, a fight.
In what's been a rather tame training camp, the Baltimore Ravens got into a large brawl during the middle of Wednesday's practice. After a routine play, attention was immediately diverted to center Gino Gradkowski and defensive tackle Arthur Jones.
Jones had Gradkowski pinned and was throwing as many punches as he could against Gradkowski's chest. Jones trained with his brother, UFC champion Jon "Bones" Jones, this summer and it sure looked like it paid off.
As Jones was giving Gradkowski everything he wanted and then some, offensive lineman Jah Reid saw himself matched up with the Ravens' secondary, and it didn't end well for him either. Reid did his best to defend himself against safety Bernard Pollard, cornerback Asa Jackson and a few others, but Reid ended up on the turf getting pummeled.
Eventually, the fight was broken up by teammates and coaches.
This isn't the first time Gradkowski has mixed it up with a teammate. More than a week ago, he and nose tackle Terrence Cody got into a brief scuffle that ended quickly.
Following the altercation, running back Ray Rice walked by the media and fans and starting joking, asking those listening if they saw how many punches he threw.
Rice avoided the fight but expressed what it signified.
"You know what I saw? That training camp has officially begun," Rice said.
