After a crushing hit from Baltimore's Haloti Ngata knocked Kansas City QB Matt Cassel to the ground with a concussion, a number of the Kansas City fans at Arrowhead Stadium cheered in apparent approval.

The concussion forced backup QB Brady Quinn into the game, which was something the fans were chanting for before Cassel's injury.

The injury upset Chiefs offensive tackle Eric Winston, who called the fan reaction "100 percent sickening."

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said it's a tough situation for any NFL player to be in.

"I could see where as a player that would be something you'd be frustrated by," Harbaugh said. "I know our sideline. When he got up and came off, our guys clapped. I think we understand it's a really tough game. It's a tough game to perform. Physically, it's a very tough game. These guys -- some of the guys make a lot of money -- but still, it doesn't make it less challenging with what they go through. I think most fans understand that. Most fans express it in the right way more often than not. But it happens. It's just a part of sports."

Case of the dropsies: The Ravens dropped five passes against Kansas City, which set drives back and made things difficult during Baltimore's 9-6 win over Kansas City.

WR Anquan Boldin dropped two passes, and RB Ray Rice, FB Vonta Leach and TE Dennis Pitta each dropped one.

"We don't like drops," Harbaugh said. "We're not happy about that. We would really much rather catch the ball."

Fighting press coverage: It was the second time this year that a team with physical corners used a press-coverage, cover-1 scheme to make things difficult on the Ravens receivers.

It could be a trend more teams try -- that is, if the personnel is good enough.

"We have to handle that," Harbaugh said. "We talked about that [Monday] quite a bit. We are getting pressed, getting cover-1 for the most part in this game. It's the same thing they gave us two years ago in the playoff game (a 30-7 Baltimore win), and we did a much better job with it."
