Though Ravens offensive linemen Jah Reid (calf) and Kelechi Osemele (back) didn't practice Wednesday, they did make brief appearances to watch some of their teammates partake in a light walkthrough one day before training camp officially opens.
Reid was wearing a compression sleeve on his right leg to aid a calf injury he re-tweaked a couple of weeks ago. Coach John Harbaugh gave an optimistic outlook on Osemele after Tuesday's practice, saying he could be back on the field soon.
Once both players return to practice, they will continue to compete for the open left guard position. Veteran lineman Bobbie Williams, signed in July, received most of the first team reps during mandatory minicamp and has been practicing with the rookies, quarterbacks and injured veterans the past two days.
