The Redskins will need to play well against the Giants. But DeAngelo Hall, Barry Cofield and Leonard Hankerson are three players Washington must have good performances from to win.

Here's why their roles are so crucial.

CB DeAngelo Hall -- He has struggled in coverage this season, giving up too many catches downfield for gains of 20 yards or more. The Giants will test Washington’s secondary and that’s why Hall needs to have a good game. He has to prevent Victor Cruz or Hakeem Nicks from getting open for big gains. The problem is Hall has never been a very good cover corner and is more of a playmaker. In last year’s win at New York, Hall did intercept Eli Manning.

NT Barry Cofield -- One way the Redskins hurt New York last season was by collapsing the pocket and forcing Manning to throw with a hand in his face. Cofield hasn’t generated a consistent rush this season, but he needs to Sunday. If Manning gets time in the pocket, Washington better hope its offense is clicking.

WR Leonard Hankerson -- With Pierre Garcon sidelined, the Redskins need more help from their wide receivers. Garcon is the only wide out to record over 80 yards receiving in a game this season. Hankerson has shown flashes, but his season high for a game is 68 yards -- and that was because of a 68-yard touchdown.
