Redskins left tackle Trent Williams missed a second straight day of practice Thursday and his status for Sunday's game at Cincinnati is now in jeopardy. (US Presswire) |
Redskins left tackle Trent Williams did not practice for a second consecutive day and is still walking with a slight limp, putting his status for Sunday’s game at Cincinnati in jeopardy.
CB Cedric Griffin (hamstring) also did not practice, but WR Pierre Garcon (bruised foot) and SS Brandon Meriweather (knee) were limited. Meriweather’s return would be a welcome one as DeJon Gomes has made key mistakes the past two weeks.
WR Brandon Banks also was limited because of a hip injury suffered in practice Wednesday.
If Williams can’t play, then Jordan Black would take his place. Black allowed two sacks vs. Cincinnati in part-time duty, but one of the sacks occurred because RB Alfred Morris cut in front of him as he was releasing on a pass and caused enough hesitation to allow the end to get around.
