There was one main topic at Redskins Park this morning: Robert Griffin III. In other words, the same topic from the day before and from the spring. But his new teammates haven’t tired of talking about him.
“He’s a star,” corner DeAngelo Hall said. “He’s not quite a rock star yet but he’s a star. Everywhere we go people will want to come see him play…. He’ll definitely bring a huge crowd with him when he goes.”
Who's here: Eighty nine of the 90 players participated in a morning walk-through at Redskins Park, including guys who missed time in the spring recovering from injuries such as running back Tim Hightower and receiver Leonard Hankerson – both of whom are expected to play key offensive roles. The Redskins enter camp with none of the distractions that engulfed them each of the past two summers – from the Albert Haynesworth saga two years ago to the trades of Haynesworth and Donovan McNabb last summer. “It’s normal,” linebacker London Fletcher said.
Who’s not: Right tackle Jammal Brown. He did not participate in the walk-through and backup lineman Tyler Polumbus told ESPN980 that he didn’t know until the morning that Brown was hurt. However, coach Mike Shanahan won’t address the media until after the afternoon practice when Brown’s absence will be explained. If there is an injury that would be terrible news for Brown and the Redskins. He spent the offseason performing yoga and Pilates to help loosen the tissue in his hip, which has bothered him the past two seasons.
