Injuries were one of the biggest storylines coming out of Sunday's action and the Bears were among the teams hit hardest.
Quarterback Jay Cutler left Chicago's Week 7 game against Washington with a groin injury and he'll be out four weeks. Linebacker Lance Briggs was also forced from Sunday's action with a shoulder injury, and according to NFL.com, he's expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
That means the Bears' defense will be without Briggs and linebacker D.J. Williams, who was placed on injured reserve last week after tearing a pectoral muscle.
Moving forward, expect Khaseem Greene and Blake Costanzo to see more action in Briggs' absence.
A month ago, the Bears were 3-0 and Cutler looked like one of the league's best quarterbacks. But injuries and inconsistencies have Chicago sitting at 4-3, a half-game back of Green Bay -- a team, incidentally, that started 1-2.
