The offense and defense worked separately for a segment of Tuesday morning’s walk-thru minicamp practice. During this period, the first-team offense provided a defensive look for the second and third-string offenses. QB Philip Rivers lined up as a safety and immediately began barking out defensive assignments. Twice he blitzed and reached QB Jarrett Lee (undrafted free agent, LSU) with the ball still in his hands. Rivers jumped up in the face of Lee and walked away with a smile on his face.
