Saints vs. Giants: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Saints vs. Giants football game
The New Orleans Saints will be returning home after a two-game road trip. They will square off against the New York Giants at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at Caesars Superdome. New Orleans should still be riding high after a victory, while New York will be looking to right the ship.
The Saints had enough points to win and then some against the New England Patriots on Sunday, taking their contest 28-13. New Orleans' RB Alvin Kamara filled up the stat sheet, snatching one receiving TD. Kamara had some trouble finding his footing against the Carolina Panthers last week, so this was a step in the right direction.
New York lost a heartbreaker to the Atlanta Falcons when they met in October of 2018, and they left with a heavy heart again on Sunday. It was close but no cigar for New York as they fell 17-14 to Atlanta. The matchup was as close as the oddsmakers predicted, but the Giants had been the slight favorite coming in. Their only offensive touchdown came from RB Saquon Barkley.
The Saints' win brought them up to 2-1 while New York's loss pulled them down to 0-3. A pair of numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: New Orleans enters the game having picked the ball off six times, good for first in the NFL. But the Giants haven't thrown an interception yet this season. We'll see which of these strengths -- offense or defense -- will win out.
