While Jim Schwartz said that Detroit’s franchise will often help young players learn from discipline and legal issues as they adjust to life in the NFL, he admitted Tuesday that the repeated offseason incidents involving RB Mikel Leshoure and DT Nick Fairley have given the organization cause for concern. “(The Lions’ franchise under Schwartz has) always had an approach of ‘there are some maturing things that go on (with young players)’, and there’s some mistakes that guys make that they learn from,” Schwartz said. “But what we have here is a situation that it appears that a couple guys haven’t learned.”
