Beast mode wasn't in practice mode for Seattle on Wednesday. RB Marshawn Lynch sat out practice with a foot injury as the Seahawks began preparations for their divisional round playoff game at Atlanta on Sunday. SS Jeron Johnson (hamstring) and CB Byron Maxwell (hamstring) also missed practice for Seattle.
A Lynch sighting on the injury report isn't anything new for the Seahawks. Lynch was on last week's report with a back injury, but was still able to run for a franchise-record tying 132 yards in Seattle's 24-14 wild-card win over Washington.
The Seahawks won at FedEx Field despite the fact that they were basically playing in a sandbox. FB Michael Robinson wasn't too thrilled with the playing surface in Washington. "That should be illegal. That's like working in a sweatshop to me," Robinson told the Seattle Times on Wednesday.
Field conditions shouldn't be an issue in Atlanta on Sunday when the Seahawks play the Falcons on the Georgia Dome's perfectly manicured FieldTurf.
