Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette has been released from a Dallas hospital following surgery to repair ligament damage in his neck. Lockette posted a photo to his Instagram account announcing the news.
Lockette suffered the injury during the Seahawks' win over the Cowboys on Sunday when he was blindsided by a block. After laying on the ground motionless for several minutes, Lockette was eventually carted off the field and taken to a hospital. He did not fly back with the team to Seattle, though some teammates remained with him.

The Seahawks already announced that Lockette will miss the remainder of the season, as he suffered ligament damage in his neck and required surgery. Though it's unclear if Lockette will be able to play in the NFL again, the news of his release can only be seen as a positive step in his recovery.
