While there are reasonable restrictions,Steelers players can do what they want Monday. One place they won't be is the practice field.
Per the new collective bargaining agreement, NFL players are required to have a day off per week during training camp. After four consecutive days of practces, the Steelers' first comes Monday.
"The big thing is if they take advantage of it and get better," coach Mike Tomlin said. "Physically and mentally prepare their bodies for the next opportunity to come out and show what they're capable of."
Players said there are no restrictions on how they can spend their time during the day off, although a curfew is expected. Pittsburgh's next scheduled off day is Aug. 6.
