Bills starting cornerback Stephon Gilmore is inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Bears with a groin injury.
Gilmore's absence is a plus for the Bears' talented wide-receiver corps, as cornerback is projected to be the strength of the Bills back seven on defense. Other Bills inactives include running back Bryce Brown, offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, guard Cyril Richardson, safety Jonathan Meeks, tight end Lee Smith and defensive end Jacquies Smith. Anthony Dixon, who was questionable to play with a hamstring issue, is active over Brown.
