The Giants waived TE Jake Ballard because of a failed physical. Ballard had a breakout year in 2011, with 38 catches for 604 yards and had two catches for 10 yards in the Super Bowl victory. Unfortunately, Ballard tore his ACL and was forced to have microfracture surgery on top of ACL surgery following the Super Bowl, which is why he was cut. The Giants could bring him back once his knee is healed.
