Texans linebacker Mike Mohamed will be out of action for some time because of a calf injury, the team announced.
Mohamed was a full participant in Houston's practice on Wednesday but did not participate at all on Thursday.
“I don’t know exactly what it is, but he’s going to miss some time,” coach Bill O’Brien said Thursday. “I feel bad for the guy personally. I have a lot of respect for Mike. Mike works very hard, been through a lot, great family guy, a really good pro but he’s probably going to miss some time here.”
Mohamed will likely be out for two to four weeks, according to sources of the Houston Chronicle.
Mohamed recorded 58 tackles in 14 games last season.
