The Tennessee Titans were successful in their previous meeting against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and they didn't afford Jacksonville any payback this time around. The Titans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-30 win Sunday. The success made it back-to-back wins for them.

The contest started off well for Tennessee, whose offense put up 24 first-half points. Jacksonville wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 24-10 heading into the break. Tennessee almost let the matchup get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it.

Tennessee QB Ryan Tannehill was slinging it as he passed for four TDs and 239 yards on 24 attempts. Tannehill ended up with a passer rating of 145.70. We would be remiss not to mention K Stephen Gostkowski, too, whose 49-yard field goal in the fourth quarter was the deciding factor in the game.

A silver lining for Jacksonville was the play of RB James Robinson, who rushed for one TD and 102 yards on 16 carries.

The Titans' victory brought them up to 2-0. The loss dropped the Jaguars back to even at 1-1.

Tennessee will take on the Minnesota Vikings at 1 p.m. ET next week at U.S. Bank Stadium. Unlike Tennessee, Minnesota will be stumbling in off of a loss. Jacksonville will be playing in front of their home fans against the Miami Dolphins at 8:20 p.m. ET on Thursday at TIAA Bank Field. Miami is coming in off of a close defeat (31-28 to the Buffalo Bills).
