Titans vs. Texans Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Titans vs. Texans football game
Game Recap
TE Anthony Firkser had a quiet outing against the Buffalo Bills two weeks ago, but he sure didn't disappoint this past Sunday. RB Derrick Henry rushed for two TDs and 212 yards on 22 carries as the Tennessee Titans beat the Houston Texans 42-36. That receiving effort made it the first game that Firkser has posted more than 100 yards receiving.
In addition to Henry, the Titans got help from Henry, who rushed for two TDs and 212 yards on 22 carries. One of the most memorable plays of the contest was Henry's 94-yard touchdown rush down the right side of the field in the fourth quarter.
QB Deshaun Watson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he passed for four TDs and 335 yards on 37 attempts. Watson's 53-yard touchdown toss down the left side of the field to WR Will Fuller in the fourth quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the afternoon.
The win for Tennessee kept them a perfect 5-0. Houston's loss pushed them down to 1-5.
Tennessee will play host again and welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers to Nissan Stadium, where kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. Tennessee will need a sterling offensive performance if they want to penetrate an unbending defense that has allowed an average of only 18.8 points per game. As for Houston, they will go up against the Green Bay Packers at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at NRG Stadium. The Texans will be hoping to continue their now four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
