Vikings vs. Seahawks Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Vikings vs. Seahawks football game
After two games on the road, the Minnesota Vikings are heading back home. They will square off against the Seattle Seahawks at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. Both teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.
Minnesota missed a PAT kick in the second quarter against the Arizona Cardinals last week, and it came back to haunt them. It could have gone either way late during winning time for the Vikings or Arizona, but it was Arizona snatching the 34-33 win. A silver lining for Minnesota was the play of QB Kirk Cousins, who passed for three TDs and 244 yards on 32 attempts in addition to picking up 35 yards on the ground. Near the top of the highlight reel was Cousins' 64-yard TD bomb to WR K.J. Osborn in the first quarter.
Speaking of close games: Seattle fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Tennessee Titans last week but wound up with a less-than-desirable result, falling 33-30. The Seahawks were up 24-9 at the end of the half but couldn't hold on to the lead. Despite the defeat, they had strong showings from WR Tyler Lockett, who caught eight passes for one TD and 178 yards, and QB Russell Wilson, who passed for two TDs and 343 yards on 31 attempts. One of the most thrilling moments was Lockett's 63-yard TD reception down the left side of the field in the second quarter.
When the two teams previously met in October of last year, the Vikings and Seattle were neck-and-neck, but Minnesota came up empty-handed after a 27-26 loss. Maybe Minnesota will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the contest and check back on CBS Sports for all the details.
