The Rams didn't beat the Giants on Sunday, but they did pull off one of the most impressive blocked field goals you'll probably ever see.
Late in the fourth quarter of New York's 37-27 win, Giants kicker Josh Brown lined up for what should have been an easy 29-yard field goal attempt. The chip shot kick didn't make it through the uprights though because Rams linebacker Daren Bates went full Superman on the play.
Bates easily jumped over Giants center Zak DeOssie to block the kick.
Players like Troy Polamalu attempt the Superman strategy all the time, but it rarely works. Apparently, Bates has the strategy perfected.
The blocked field goal was all for nothing though because the Rams lost a fumble on the next play.
