The news that C Scott Wells signed a six-year, $24 million contract with the Rams wasn't a surprise. Wells had been clear in his intentions to test the free-agent market coming off a Pro Bowl season in 2011. While it’s unknown how much Green Bay was offering, it almost certainly wasn’t close to what Wells signed for with St. Louis.
