Second-string QB Charlie Whitehurst appeared hesitant to pull the trigger on passes during OTAs on Thursday. He frequently tucked the ball and coach Norv Turner verbally got after Whitehurst for not throwing when the defense applied pressure. Whitehurst is replacing Billy Volek as the backup, but he should already be somewhat familiar with the offense. Whitehurst spent the 2006-2009 seasons with the Chargers before being traded to the Seahawks (2010-2011).
