Falcons' Justin Ellis: Agrees to deal with Atlanta
The Falcons are planning to sign Ellis on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Per Rapoport, Ellis impressed during a workout Friday and will get a chance to compete for a roster spot. The Falcons may be without Calais Campbell (undisclosed) for a large portion of the preseason, so Ellis, who's joining his third team in as many years, should have plenty of opportunities to showcase his skills.

Ellis appeared in 30 games over the last two seasons for Baltimore and totaled 35 tackles. The 2014 fourth-round pick is likely to serve as a depth piece along the Giants' defensive line during the 2022 campaign after New York lost Austin Johnson -- who signed a two-year, $14 million deal with the Chargers -- this offseason.

Ravens' Justin Ellis: Set to start Sunday
Ellis will start at nose tackle Sunday versus the Eagles because Brandon Williams is on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Ellis has played in four games this season as a backup to Williams, and he's recorded just one tackle. The veteran will have an increased role Sunday, and he'll look to disrupt a banged-up Eagles' offensive line. Miles Sanders is a major concern for the Ravens' defense, and Ellis will be responsible for pressuring Carson Wentz as well.

The Ravens signed Ellis to the 53-man roster Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Raiders' Justin Ellis: Dealing with new injury
Coach Jon Gruden said Sunday that Ellis is dealing with a knee injury and his status for Week 1 is unclear, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Ellis is coming off a season in which we was placed on IR with a foot injury and is now dealing with further injury. It's unclear how the Louisiana Tech product picked up the nick, but the fact that he could miss Week 1 means it's at least a multiweek injury. If Ellis can't go for the start of the regular season, P.J Hall and Maurice Hurst would be candidates to draw the start at defensive tackle.
